I've always been a hardcore thriller/horror/gore/mystery girl. And whilst I still adore those genres I've recently been introduced to a new genre in women's fiction/chic lit and history by a friend, and I'm devouring them like no tomorrow!
The cover doesn't so much do it for me, but some chic lit ones I find a little stereotypical and if I'm honest a bit blah.
This could be one of the reasons why I've stayed away from them, but reading the synopsis, this is definitely up my street. It sounds harrowing at times, especially from the work house point of view, but I know I would enjoy delving into another book which is away from my usual tastes.
I'd love to branch out a bit more and discover new authors!
