The cover screams typical Victorian era that on the outside may look pretty, cute and maybe even sought after as a lifestyle that could have been very Disney like it is not what it seems at all. From the blurb i am given the impression that this pretty and cute looking lifestyle is far from pretty and most definitely not cute in the slightest.
It gives me the impression that Victorian women are a force to be reckoned with and you do not want to mess with them especially one who has been through an awful lot of emotion from a young and tender age.
I think this would be a very good book to read, maybe a little uncomfortable at times but maybe this is intended for effect.
