I'm not a huge fan of the cover; it's a bit mediocre. The cover seems to depict a rather sunny scene and it makes me wonder whether this book is set in an overseas location. The synopsis is intriguing and the extract flows well, with clear character introductions and believable dialogue. This isn't the type of book I'd usually read - I usually read crime fiction and thrillers - but the extract has pleasantly surprised me. I'm not sure whether this book will hold my interest over time but the extract has certainly caught my attention.
