A beautiful garden, well what else would you expect from Erica James plus a glimpse of the sea, a lovely cover that makes one want to dive right in and start reading. My first impression was that we have 3 women related but so different, like most of us each with their own insecurities, hopes, dreams and memories. In a few short chapters we already know so much about them, their lives interwoven, caring about each other but perhaps wanting different things. Naomi the widowed mother of Martha and Willow isn’t ready to retreat from life but seems ready to start afresh. Martha is successful, working in a business where wanting to have a baby is frowned on so she needs to keep it quiet. Her chaotic younger sister Willow drifting along through life so far is her new relationship about to change that? I don’t know but I really want to.
