This was a nicely written and well thought out story, although not the sort of thing I would normally pick myself. The characters were well written and it was easy to feel the emotions and ups and downs of their lives. The relationships between the characters was realistic and heartfelt allowing the reader to be fully immersed in the story.
The narrative flowed easily and it was an easy book to get through, I found time flew as I was reading because I was so engrossed and didn't realise the time.
This is definitely a good book for a long cold winter evening. Leave the storms outside and relax in the warmth with a beautiful story of family, relationships, hardship and love all obtained with an element of mystery.
