It's been a long time since I read an Erica James book but I have always enjoyed her writing in the past. I was really pleased that I gave this one a go as it was a really lovely, easy to read story.
Mothers and Daughters follows Naomi after the death of her husband and her two daughters, Martha and Willow. Martha is the sensible sister, always knowing what she wants from life, whilst her younger sister, Willow is just drifting through life. The three women are very close but they are all holding secrets from each other. Martha is desperate to get pregnant, Willow has a new boyfriend who may not be who he appears to be and Naomi has reunited with an old flame.
I loved the characters in this book and felt like I was on a journey with them. It's a sweet story about mother and daughter relationships but it does also cover some hard hitting topics along the way. It was very easy to read and I thoroughly enjoyed it!
