I’ve never read an Erica James book before so this was my first. Firstly, I loved the fact that it was sent with a bookmark that you could plant. I found that a beautiful touch.
Onto the story - I loved the fact that it’s a trio - Mum and two daughters. I found the story to be detailed, thought provoking and ultimately dealing with sensitive issues really well. I particularly found myself warming to Willow and worrying that I was more like Martha!
I found it really hard to actually put this book down. I wanted to read and find out what the outcomes would be for these girls. Would they be able to step up when they needed to to be the parents they are destined to be? Will they allow their mother to move on since the death of their father? Are the partners all that they seem to be? Through compelling writing, these questions are answered.
Overall, an enjoyable book and I really can’t wait to read another Erica James story.
