Wow. This was such an intense ride.
For the first part of the book I found Martha unbearable. What a know it all, interfering mean sister.
Then when it became clear of Ricks intentions she really came into her own.
I throughly enjoyed the relationship between sisters. Having 3 of my own I can identify with the struggles and push and pull love between siblings.
I loved Naomi. What a selfless women. How she put up with living with Colin for so many years and not either killing him or running away. I will never know.
I liked how they had babies at the same time but I’m totally different situations. But was devastated about the cat. Poor old Cedric. I did love the Harry Potter reference though!
Such an enjoyable and thrilling book. Covering so many different topics and some really hard hitting incidents. Showing how complicated family life can be.
