Mothers and Daughters is exactly what it says on the tin, the tale of Naomi and her daughters Martha and Willow. Set in the aftermath of their husband/father's death, they each face some unsettling truths about the past and have to decide what the future could possibly hold.
I really enjoyed my time spent with these three women and loved getting to know them. A lot of what happens to the women got me thinking too, and I think some of the book will stay with me for a little while.
The setting of the book was idyllic and well described - it definitely had me wishing I lived somewhere similar - there was a strong sense of home running through the book which I loved!
If you love a well written family based story, I think you'll really like this one. It was an easy read, but there are some heavy themes.
