Erica James never seems to disappoint. She has written a compelling story about the lives and loves and hopes of three women and the people who are close to them. This is a treat of a novel which explores a family where love overrides. I read this book over four sittings and would happily have read more although by that time I had come to the end. The style of writing makes it so easy to read.

It explores the relationships between a parent and their children and also between siblings and their partners and follows a period of change in their life. Sisters are frequently at odds with each other but as the saying goes, blood is thicker than water. The plot is well thought out and beautifully written with plenty of twists and turns. There are some great lines by the characters which helps to build suspense.

The book cover gives the idyllic view of the sea from the garden of Anchor House which matches the description of the setting in the book.
