Naomi was widowed a couple of years ago and her two grown up daughters, Martha and Willow, have concerns when she tells them about her blossoming relationship with Ellis.

Martha idolised her father and cannot believe that her mother could even consider the thought of someone else taking his place in the family. Willow isn't quite so perturbed and, as events unfold, we discover why she did not hero worship him as her sister did.

This story has many layers to it which are gradually peeled back. It covers a number of tough issues that are sensitively explored through quality writing. We discover that, although with best intentions firmly at the heart of decisions made, family secrets have been kept hidden for years. It is only once those secrets are out that the family can acknowledge and then learn to deal with them. Only in doing so can the cycle of guilt and misplaced loyalty be broken.
