This is the first novel I’ve read by Erica James and it is one I have really enjoyed. ‘Mothers and Daughters’ is exactly what it is about; the relationships and dynamics between Naomi and her two daughters Martha and Willow, with some secrets thrown into it too.
I always enjoy novels with strong female characters and this didn’t disappoint. They were all likeable and I found this to be a book I looked forward to picking up - I was invested and wanted to know what would happen. I liked other supporting characters in the book too.
I enjoyed the descriptions of where the mum, Naomi lived. The gorgeous beach setting for her house makes me long to live somewhere like that, and I thought the writing described it really well. I thought the book cover was really pretty too.
Overall, this was a really good read and definitely one I would recommend to others.
