Engrossing family drama involving two thirty-something sisters, Martha and Willow, and their mother Naomi. The author does a great job capturing the everyday struggles and concerns of middle class UK life, peppered with references to COVID and the devastating impact it has had on family life, and in particular, - grief, loss and ever-presnt and ongoing health concerns, in particular for aging parents.

Naomi, a strong and independent woman only recently widowed, promises to be an interesting character. The author hints at opportunities for Naomi, who has been living for decades under her husbands shadow, to grow and take center stage of her own life, both romantically and from a financial perspective.

Martha and Willow, very different in their focus and approach to life, share a love and concern for their mother that appears destined to cause differences of opinion regarding her future care.

They may both find that Naomi has ideas of her own.
