I really enjoy this author and I always feel that her novels give good family based dramas, which are fun to read.

To start, I really liked the cover of the book, which to me seemed very homely. I do like the title, which evokes a sense of family and belonging.

The story has lovely family characters and relationships with each other. It felt like a story about real people who were reacting in real ways, which made it very easy to read and keep turning the pages. There are some quite serious topics covered but they are dealt with sensitively.

I loved the setting and the way that England is described, which seemed very authentic and realistic.

I thought that the story was very calming and peaceful, so I enjoyed reading it on a quiet Sunday afternoon. Whilst it was not necessarily fast paced or action packed, I thought it was very well written and I very much enjoyed reading it.
