The cover was eye-catching and detailed, but the blurb was perplexing to me. However, the sample suggest otherwise; I was immediately engrossed in the plot and eager to learn more. The first few chapters explored a lot of context, setting the scene and providing background information. There are many questions in my head and I'm looking forward to finding out more.
