I got this from Readers First and I thought it sounded really interesting but I was hesitant to pick it up because I literally hadn’t seen it anywhere - although I’ve just noticed it was only released on Thursday so maybe that’s why!
I decided to pick it up and I wasn’t sure at first, I was drawn in from the blurb but I thought it was going to be a DNF for a while and then it all switched and suddenly I was heavily invested. This is a character driven book about Jeff who bumps into an old acquaintance in an airport and decides to share his story of how he saved someone’s life… and then ended up in their life as a result. This book is a retelling of that story - Jeff to his acquaintance.. his account. Is it the true account? Is it more twisted than we first think?
Very short story at only 179 page with very short chapters, some a few pages, some only a few lines and it made for a very quick read. Perfect for a busy weekend. Definitely one I’d recommend.
