This book wasn't exactly what I was expecting, I went into this not really knowing much about the synopsis or the author. The book tells the tale of two acquaintances and their chance meeting at an airport.
One if the men, Cooke, retells his story of where he gave a man mouth to mouth and thereby saved his life.
The story of what happens to this man following his near death experience is then explored by Cook. Unfortunately the man in question doesn't seem to have made the most of his second chance at life. Cook continues to explore this man's existence and the way the story is told, makes you question the reliability of the account.
The story is a very short one, only around 180 pages, and the chapters are short and snappy. There is a lot of rich description and I love that the author has you questioning the morality of several of the characters. Definitely recommend.
