Fun, suspenseful, and morbid all at once - I loved it!

The themes of this book are not a usual reading preference of mine but I was thoroughly drawn in from the start. The narrating style and themes might be reminiscent of Tom Ripley (but the pace feels much quicker and more modern) and was a delight to read. It is definitely one of those books that one can't quite put down and reads in one sitting (a good airplane read!). The premise very simply put is that of a man who saves another person and becomes obsessed with the person he saved but that really does not do justice to the pace and complexity of the story. The final twist is fun, too, all in all a great read and delighted to have received a book to review. I would add, too, that the cover is just okay - I feel like it could have been more imaginatively suspenseful and doesn't really draw the eye the way that it should for a novel that draws one in so seamlessly.
