A compelling, one-sitting literary thriller of imposters and Faustian bargains, in which a man pulls another man from the rough surf and then wishes he'd just let him drown.
Absolutely amazing, never thought I would enjoy something like this but boy was I wrong! I loved every second of it and the execution of the plot was great if only there weren’t as many bumps on the road as it did feel like we were slowing down the pace quite a few times in the story and it felt as though there were moments that were a bit rushed and that I personally think should have been allowed to develop a lot more and a lot better. Although, the plot of this story was enticing and engaging absolutely brilliant! There were points where I felt as though scenes were just going on forever and forever and forever however, later on in the book i realised why it was that these were so developed although it may not have seemed that it was necessary.
