I struggled to finish this book, and had it not been less than 200 pages long I probably would have given up very early in.
This is a story of two old university acquaintances meeting at an airport and one sharing his life story to the other over a delayed flight. Simple enough. The story is clearly manufactured to give a falsely positive impression however. It deals with the character initially saving the life of an art dealer and then becoming drawn into his world.
If you are into art/dealing art you may like it. I did not.
The problem with this book is that not a single character is likable or even seems to have a single redeeming feature. The narrator is basically non existent and just a sounding board and the main character is just a self indulgent n*b....to be perfectly blunt.
The good bits - the language was easy to read and fast paced. But this is lucky or else I never would have got through it.
