i read many of the reviews in here before deciding i should speak up. the 3 star reviews were disappointed in the book because i feel they were reading the book for a plot. and there "is" a plot. but more than that, this book challenges the reader by sweeping the reader into an engaging exchange between two people waiting for a delayed flight. what do we know about one another? when do our stereotypes kick in without us realizing it? at what point are moral standards to be dismissed, if ever? we listen to the conversation between these two people and because the book is so well written, the author leads us in ways we readers do not notice. i caution readers to read the book beyond wondering "what happens next" as this is a book that explores human nature both internally and outwardly. once we sign on to something, we are connected in ways that are not apparent until, often, too late. hence the title: mouth to mouth.
