Not what I expected

This book was quite different to what I expected it to be.

Jeff Cook saved a man. It was a secret he kept to himself, until one day when he bumped into an old university aquaintence in the airport. Now he felt like fate was telling him it was time to unload some weight off his shoulders.

There was a little mystery surrounding Francis and Jeff's relationship, and waiting to find out if Francis ever found out that it was Jeff who saved his life that day.
There was also the mystery of Jeff, and why he didn't feel like telling anybody what he had done.

Neither Francis nor Jeff are particularly likeable characters. Sometimes I felt a little appreciation for Jeff not trying to find fame from his 'heroic' act, but other times I was questioning him and his motives..
Although I didn't really like Francis, I could understand some of his actions.

The ending of the book shed a lot of light on the story and I think it wrapped it up well.

Overall the book was a good read, made easier by the short length and short chapters. This was particularly helpful as I wasn't really interested in the art side of it.
