This is only a short book of less than 200 pages but it certainly crams a lot in. From the very start it takes hold of you with the feeling that 'something big is coming' and it keeps you turning the pages.
The short chapter structure, which seems to be typical for American Authors, lends itself really well to this suspenseful read.
It focuses around one main character telling his story of saving a mans life to an old student friend from his university days that he meets by chance at the airport. The twists keep coming, and in fact, even the big reveal keeps you waiting until the very last line.
The insight into the world of artists and galleries is also interesting, as only in this environment could someone like Jeff manage to pass himself off as someone in the know- in the style of Ripley.
It is filled with hints and nuances and because of that is one of those books which will be just as enjoyable to read again because you know whats going to happen.
