This book was not necessarily one that I would recommend to others. It was a relatively easy read, with an interesting plotline and some intriguing characters. I can’t quite work out what I made of it and whether I liked it.
It was compelling, for sure, as it felt like there was a lot to follow and figure out. The main characters had an interesting dynamic and the story ranging from saving someone’s life through to not saving their life at the end was an interesting story arc.
The in depth knowledge of the world of art and how things work was also fascinating to read and learn about.
I’m just not sure how much I actually liked it or any of the characters.
I liked that it challenged you to consider things in a different way. Saving someone’s life would definitely feel like something that would have a massive impact on you, and you can see why the main character started off down the route he did.
It did feel a little ridiculous and unrealistic at times but sometimes that is how life is.
