This book captured my attention immediately- just the sort of novel I love with both history and mystery to enjoy. If I saw it in a bookshop I would buy it and very much look forward to going on a voyage with the characters as they explore their new world. You feel empathy with the character from the start as you feel both their anticipation and fear and this propels you into wanting to know what will happen. There’s nothing better then getting lost in a book.
