This is a fantastic book. Really enthralling story of a family and there father chasing his dream which becomes a nightmare. A family sell up and the father is tricked into settling on an uninhabited island in the middle of nowhere on a false promise. The family is then transported to the island leaving by a ship which leaves them to struggle from day one. Another arrives at a later date with a number of islanders from a different island who are there for some months to help the Peacock family. When they arrive the story takes a dark turn when Albert Peacock goes missing. The last 100 pages of this book are fantastic, hey really do keep you encapsulated within the story. Unfortunately I can not say this for the whole book, as there were really slow chapters which made it really difficult to keep going but I am glad I did.
