I really enjoyed reading this book! Although it was not exactly what I’d expected it to be to begin with, I did enjoy it & loved the whole idea of the Peacock families island life & being self-sufficient. The mystery that surrounds the family is believeable & intriguing. The big reveal of the truth at the end was a complete shock & surprise & gave you a different slant on the dynamics of the family & their relationships with each other. I think it forces you to feel a variety of emotions as you feel sorry for some characters but almost hatred for others because of what they’ve done. I like the way it was written & felt the complexity was just enough. The cover is also stunning & it looks wonderful on my bookshelf!
