As Historical Fiction is not a genre I particularly enjoy, I knew this book was one I would struggle with and unfortunately I was right.
I gave up after about 100 pages as it was too slow moving for me and I found the language used by the Author difficult to read.
There was nothing particularly wrong with the book, it is just I do not enjoy this genre.
It is clear to me this book is not aimed at me, but to the right audience I believe this book would be thoroughly enjoyed.
From reading the blurb I thought I could get through the book as the synopsis sounded quite interesting, but unfortunately I did not finish the book after stopping reading at about 100 pages.
The slow pace did not keep my attention and I found myself skimming the pages and ultimately getting bored.
