Before I started this book I read the blurb, which was a silly thing to do, I knew straightaway this wasn’t a book I’d pick up the shelf by choice. However I started to read it and it wasn’t as bad as I thought. I’m really not that bothered about reading books linked with sailing to new horizons in this particular era. I did however like the twists and turns the writer develops. I don’t want to give the book away in this review so I’m not gonna give any spoilers, however I can say that they’re quite clever and if you do you like reading books about sailing to new places to make new lives in this era you’ll probably love this book. For me I still thought it was a bit dull overall however I finished it which shows me it wasn’t that bad after all.
