First of all the cover of this book is simply beautiful and the title is fantastic too. The story is really interesting and I am a big fan of a well written historical book which Mr Peacock’s Possessions certainly is. A big strength of this book is the evocative setting which is so strong and almost a character in itself. There is a good dose of mystery involved in the storyline which gives the book great pacing and a compelling feeling to it. These characters are all so intriguing and their lives are rich in detail. They all have such distinctive voices which gives the book variety and different perspectives. Overall Mr Peacock’s Possessions is a fantastic read and filled with emotion. The story is compelling, imaginative and well written.
