Couldn't get into it

Recently, the books I've been reading have been very underwhelming - I think I'm going through a bit of a reading slump, and unfortunately, this book was the next victim of the slump.

I could not get into this book. I loved the characters - the girls were all very relatable and realistic, but I found the plot to be a bit boring, and it never really picked up speed. Not that much really happened to me, and in the end I had to give up on trying to read it.

There is no doubt that the author is talented - I loved her writing style, although the dialogue sections that were almost in the style of a script I found a bit annoying when they repeatedly were used so she could make her book purely the characters talking. Some of the conversations were unnecessary and I found them boring, but there were parts that I really enjoyed as well. I give this book therefore a three out of five - it was good, had potential, but for me I just couldn't get into it. I hope my reading slump will end soon!
