My first copy got stolen on holiday and I just had to buy a second to carry on reading!
Fabulous book that really kept me engaged and intrigued as to what was going to happened next.
I didn't feel 'close' to any character really,
Heidi didn't manage to grasp my attention or interest, her decisions seemed to wind me up, but maybe that was to do with her past and only somebody who has been through what she has would understand her thought processes.
The book definitely kept you guessing until the final chapter but I really didn't expect the ending we got and I'm still mulling over the decision that was made.
Jason, just like Heidi, didn't appeal to me as a character, his relationship with Barney's mother didn't seem to 'add up'.
I would have loved if the book showed more of their side of the story, maybe a pre-story of their relationship would have helped me 'feel' something for Jason.
All in all I thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to Deborah's next novel!
