I was sent this book for signing up with readers first, I got to choose from four books and this was my choice. The eerie cover drew my attention instantly with its creepy dark and mysterious vibes and the bright blood red writing announcing the title of the book.
I couldn't put the book down. As soon as I read the first page, I was zapped into the world of Heidi and Jason, I felt instantly connected and curious as to what would happen.
The story open with a highly dangerous and highly risky scenario which makes you want to tear the young child from the clutches of the person abducting the poor child.
I was then forced to wonder what happened as I was set forwards..or was it backwards? To the main characters Heidi and Jason, two average adults going about their lives together, happily married but with harrowing stories that led them to meet in the first place.
I cannot express how much this book had my heart hammering in my chest, I could not put it down (though I had to so I could use the toilet and make a much needed cup of tea)
I am now left feeling utterly speechless and gobsmacked at how it all unfolded. Though I'm not sure I am entirely satisfied with the ending.
