One for summer
The cover looks like another teen drama, teal and yellow with the characters scatter round. Typical but a pleasant less is more.
The first few pages read like a well written fanfiction. It's casual, with well written phrases and words yet feels incompleteness like I've missed something already about this family. It's as if someone were telling me a story, but too focused on telling rather than showing. It introduces the characters and a little of the setting but the plot only really feels like it picks up once the dialogue properly is begins between more than two people.
Maybe just not quite my taste but should be a good summer read
