The cover was immediately appealing to me, with bright eye-catching colours and a catchy tag line. The synopsis suggests a novel with the potential for both humorous and heartwarming moments, dealing with anxieties about marriage, friendship and the complex relationships between siblings. From the synopsis, I was expecting the novel to be written in the first person, as this seems to be preferable for comedy. But after reading the first few pages, the third person narrative seems to be more restrained. I am looking forward to reading more and learning more about the characters.
