The cover is good - simple but I know immediately to expect a female-centred book with maybe comedy in it. I can't help but relate to the main character, Claudia, immediately. Such a perfectly average thing to do and at the average age for it (28) - she's getting married! And yet she feels radical doing it. Somehow, I always do things that are average but it never does feel average to me. So maybe that's why I like her straight away. Not only that, but she has a mother who's very controlling in the aspect that she wants her adult children to ask for permission before doing something. Put that with her sister, Poppy, who expects everyone to do the things she wants them to do, I know that I can expect hilarious moments from the book. How will the wedding turn out? How will the pre-wedding plans turn out?
