Light and mildly entertaining but not for me

This seems like it would be a light, mildly entertaining read but I can't say the excerpt left me with much interest in finding out what happens next. The author has clearly taken some trouble to set up the dynamics between the different members of the family but I didn't really find myself drawn to any of them particularly - except perhaps (in absentia) poor Dylan, the bridegroom, who I hope realizes what he's letting himself in for joining this family.
