Things this book did well:
- sibling relationships

Things it didn't do so well:
-actual story
-actual plot line
-character development
-end

This book was a struggle to finish; once past the initial look, the incredibly realistic portrayal of siblings and family and the occasional funny and oddly specific metaphors the positives died as the story dragged on. While I appreciate that character driven plot can be powerful, the story drifts through most of the casts POV's resulting in no character development to appreciate. While some people may like the unending drama viewed through a variety of peoples lives, there was a good deal of unecessary description, and the story only moved as we jumped around and saw what everyone else did. It perhaps would be better as a tv show instead.

Also the occasional change in format was odd but was well utilised given the story's lack of pace and plot. It also ended pretty weirdly but fitting.

I will say that this is the most accurate portrayal of siblings I've read though.
