When I first saw the description and comparisons of this book to other authors such as Sophie Kinsella, I was positive it was going to be a really enjoyable read. I was so wrong!

I couldn't bring myself to finish the book, giving up half way through. I struggled to warm to any of the characters, they all appeared quite petulant and moaned constantly! I felt that the story was quite flat, and needed something to bring an elemant of excitement to keep me wanting to read.

As I didn't make the end, it's unfair for me to pass comment on the storyline. However, from the part I did manage to read, there's lots of potential with the concept but I feel there is something lacking to make this book a Summer page turner.

Thank you to the publishers and Readers First for giving me the opportunity to read My Not So Functional Family
