When I read the blurb for this, I was super interested. I loved the premise! And I’m really grateful that I got to read the book, but it just fell a bit flat for me.
I can’t say exactly what was missing but I didn’t find that I loved any one character, and I wasn’t desperate to get to my book when I got home or had a break.
I think The story itself has potential, and I love contemporary fiction as a general rule, but it was lacking and I’m so sad!
