I wouldn't say I hated this book but I had to DNF it at page 79 (chapter 6), there just seemed to be some issues with the flow of this story for me. I found myself forcing myself to read and I didn't really expect that from a contemporary.
I was extremely excited for this novel as a light hearted, slightly fluffy, summer read but I felt that I was having to push myself to continue with this one.
I did enjoy the aspects of the sibling rivalries and the mother/children dynamic but also found myself annoyed by some of these aspects making me feel conflicted about my feelings on this book.
I may return to this book in the future and try it again but at this moment, I just can't seem to gel with it. I think this will be one of those books which is marmite, you will either adore the writing style and flow or dislike it.
