I was so excited to receive this book from readers first, as it sounded like something I would love. However, I'm afraid in the end it just didn't live up to my expectations.
I didn't enjoy reading it nearly as much as I was hoping. The writing was fine, but I didn't really connect to any of the characters (most of them were downright horrible!) and I quickly became bored of their antics. As mentioned above, I usually enjoy family drama type books, but I just couldn't work up any enthusiasm for any of these characters or for finding out what was going to happen to them.
In addition to this, I felt that the book went off on a lot of random (unnecessary) tangents that sometimes made it hard to follow the plot. I finished reading it in the hope that all the plot points may eventually tie up into a satisfying conclusion, but nothing particularly exciting ended up happening. Not for me.
