I was quite excited about this book from the first impression and reading the blurb as it looked like a good book with lots of humour about the trials of dealing with family and friends especially when mixed together. However, it never seemed to grab me in and I didn't actually find much of the book that funny. I never really engaged with any of the characters and all the family arguments seemed to just be for the sake of it rather than for any furthering of the plot.

Also, a key part of the blurb was introducing that Claudia (the main character) needed to work out what she really wanted, but I didn't feel this was ever really answered in the book properly. I felt like the blurb set this book up very highly and after reading it the blurb doesn't really fit and it was a bit of a let down.
