The blurb for this book had so much potential for humour and poignancy - Claudia is spending the last week before she gets married in her home town in Australia with her 2 sisters, brother and separated parents.
As one of 4 children myself and also the mother of 4 children, I thought there would be several issues that I would relate to and empathise with - fortunately not!
I did not like any of the characters or their treatment of each other. I also found their language objectionable. The story line is weak and didn't have any focus or direction.
I'm not exactly sure what the point of this book is. There didn't appear to be any outcome - all the characters ended in the same position as at the start with no discernible change in their circumstances or attitude.
The best thing about this book is the cover.
I would advise any future potential readers not to waste 6 hours of their lives reading this book.
