Claudia has returned to her mother’s house, in her home town, in preparation for her upcoming wedding. With two sisters descending upon her, one of which she constantly wars with, her family unit is completed with an amicable brother, and her father who is divorced from her mother and has his own house. Dylan, her fiancé is arriving later in the week for the nuptials.
Claudia seems far from ecstatic about her upcoming ceremony, pressure from her mother has changed the location and style of wedding she wanted. An underwhelmed Claudia confides in Poppy that she is not sure that she wants to even get married.
The author has not given the characters much personality and I feel really disconnected with them. So much so, that I don’t really care if Claudia marries Dylan or not. The first peek at this novel is enough really. Thumbs down unfortunately.
