I didn't expect to enjoy this excerpt as much as I did, but I love the ideas behind the novel and the writing is so crisp and engaging that I was disappointed to stop reading!
The unusual choice of narrator is a brilliant twist and makes the story a lot fresher. Instead of delving into the mind of the killer herself, we are treated to Korede's perspective and her role in helping Ayoola cover the murders.
I found myself really wanting to find out why Korede is helping her sister for not the first, but third time. From their interactions in the excerpt it doesn't seem like Korede even really likes her sister, so I'm interested to find out her motivations for risking so much to help her over and over again.
I will definitely be keeping a look out for this one!
