I really didn't know what to expect from this book which has such a striking title and cover! But this turned out to be an entertaining, fast read which I devoured in one sitting.
I loved Oyinkan Braithwaite's punchy writing style and her use of very short chapters. The tone of the novel was very dark and satirical with lots of wry humour.
I found the relationship between the two sisters, Korede and Ayoola, to be fascinating. Relationships between sisters are often complex and this one certainly was....
Despite being being a bit disappointed in the ending of the story I did overall enjoy this novel and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quick read and something a little bit different.
