The dependable Korode loves order and cleanliness (and the doctor in the hospital where she works). Her beautiful, materialistic and manipulative sister, Ayoola, can’t stop stabbing her boyfriends and calling Korode to help her clean up. This is no traditional thriller, in any sense, but so addictive!

At only around 200 pages (and some pretty large writing - LOVE) it’s a quick read set in Nigeria that you could devour in a single afternoon’s work. I loved the super short chapters, barely longer than three pages at most. This little joy of a book does the absolute opposite of what it says on the cover - who knew a book about concealing your sister’s murderous crimes and battling with conscience could also be a book described as humorous and sensational?!

I had high hopes for this and i’m so glad it delivered, and managed to surprise me too.
