I had this book on my read list before it had come out, and when it appeared on here for a chance to get a copy I jumped at it. The first look pulled me in and only made me want to read more, which I was lucky to do. My Sister, The Serial Killer is a somewhat short book, but uses every page perfectly. Today, when so many books are getting longer and longer it's nice to find a book that is shorter but doesn't feel like it's missing anything.

My Sister, The Serial Killer was a little different from what I first expected. I was expecting to read a thriller of sorts, but what I got instead was more lighthearted and comedic, which isn't a bad thing. The story definitely works well as a more lighthearted story. The setting, Lagos in Nigeria, is one I haven't come across before. I had mentioned in my first look that I don't think I'd read a book set in Africa before and that it was a shame more books from there weren't seen in the 'Western' world as much. This is a great first book from an African author, who I look forward to reading more from. I also intend to look into finding more books by African authors as it was also nice getting a glimpse into the culture of Nigeria through Braithwaite.

My Sister, The Serial Killer was a great book that I enjoyed reading and feel like it ended perfectly, although some might not agree.
