The opening page of this book had me so hooked I read it in a single sitting! The sisters were both well developed characters and I think it was a really interesting plot. I believe Korede is a character everyone can relate to, one that puts family first even when it’s the hardest thing to do and might not be the best decision for yourself. The two sisters are written as a dichotomy- Korede is mundane, clever and personally successful whilst Ayoola is mesmerising but oblivious which can sometimes be seen as arrogance. The book also gives you an insight to the Nigerian culture- such as some of the food they eat and I thought this was so interesting. The writing style is modern and super easy to read as it is quite a short book.

I would have give it more stars but I thought the ending was just a bit predictable and ended in a bit of rush. Overall this book is a quick, fun read that has you feeling empathetic for Korede and at some points understanding of Ayoola.
